Setting different types of Durations.

Durations can be days mode or hourly mode. It will help your customers to select the duration on the order form instead of selecting the finish time.

Click on the activity settings from the sidebar menu or from the main dashboard.

If you subscribe to more than one activity, settings should be set individually according to that. Here in the screenshot below Bike and Ski are two different activity types. Action needs to be set up for both activity settings and Message settings.

Click on the Durations tab to add the durations like below.

Rentrax supports three types of durations which are “Time range”, “Duration” & “Season”.

1, Time range: When the type is based on time range, needs to set the start hour and enter the duration and selects the time unit based on “minutes” or “hours” and the system will restrict selecting the start time based on the duration.

The above screenshot defines the duration as 4 hours, 6 hours starting from 7 am & 2 hours, 4 hours starting from 2 pm.

Note: When the start hour is set if the time is past 7 am today, the 4 hours duration is not available for the rest of the day when the start hour is set.

After the start time sets, on the order form by default, their start time will be set on the duration start time.

2, Duration: When the type is based on duration, needs to set the duration and select the time unit as hourly or daily. This type of system is not restricting selecting their start time, end-users can start at any time and needs to select the rental duration.

After the duration sets, on the order form by default, it shows as follows.

3, Season: When the type is based on season, needs to set the season start date & time & season end date & time.

After the season sets, on the order form by default, it shows as follows.

Refer to the Price settings tutorial to set the pricing for time range, duration & seasonal.
